This Privacy Policy describes how StudyTime Planner ("we", "our", or "the app") handles your information when you use our mobile application on iOS.
1. Information We Collect and Store
Data you create in the app
When you use StudyTime Planner, the following data is stored on your device (and optionally in your iCloud account if you use that feature):
- Subjects: names, colors, priorities, chapters, difficulty/weight, notes
- Exams: exam dates, titles, linked subjects, reminder settings, notes
- Schedule: generated study sessions, completion status
- Settings: daily study time, study window, session length, break length, notification preferences, language, theme, and similar options
We do not collect this data on our own servers. It stays on your device or in your personal iCloud storage under your Apple ID.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To run the app: show your schedule, send local reminders, and personalize the interface (e.g. language, theme).
- To improve the app: we may use anonymous, non-personal usage information (such as crash reports or diagnostics) if you have allowed that in your device settings.
We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your subjects, exams, or schedule for advertising or profiling.
3. Advertising (Google AdMob)
If you use the free version of StudyTime Planner, we may show ads provided by Google AdMob.
- AdMob may collect and use data (such as device identifiers and usage data) according to Google's Privacy Policy.
- You can control ad personalization in your device settings and in Google's ad settings.
- If you subscribe to premium, we stop showing ads in the app for your account.
4. In-App Purchases and Subscriptions
- Payments and subscription management are handled by Apple (App Store).
- We do not store your payment details. Apple's privacy policy applies to purchase data: Apple Privacy Policy.
- We only receive from Apple the information needed to grant you premium access (e.g. that your subscription is active).
5. iCloud (Optional)
- If you use iCloud backup / restore in the app (premium feature), your app data may be stored in your iCloud account.
- This is subject to Apple's iCloud privacy and terms. We do not have access to the contents of your iCloud account.
6. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for their marketing.
We may share data only:
- As required by law (e.g. court order or applicable regulation).
- With service providers that help us operate the app (e.g. analytics or crash reporting), under strict confidentiality and only for that purpose.
- With Apple and Google as needed for the App Store, in-app purchases, and ads, as described in their respective privacy policies.
7. Data Retention and Deletion
- On your device: Data remains until you delete the app or clear its data.
- Export / backup: You can export your data from the app (e.g. to a file). You are responsible for how you store or delete that file.
- We do not retain copies of your personal data on our servers. If you delete the app, we have no separate copy to delete.
8. Security
We rely on your device's and Apple's security (e.g. device lock, iCloud security). We do not transmit your subjects, exams, or schedule to our own servers. Export files are generated and stored only as you choose (e.g. on device or in Files).
9. Children's Privacy
StudyTime Planner is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.
10. International Users
The app is intended for use globally. Your data is stored on your device and, if you use it, in your iCloud account, which may be processed in accordance with Apple's practices and your region's laws.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy with a new "Last updated" date. For significant changes, we may notify you in the app or via the App Store product page. Continued use of the app after the effective date of changes means you accept the updated policy.
